Do you have this product in your own fridge or pantry? A staple of American grocery store aisles, Triscuits are just one of the mass-produced foodstuffs that intrigue Linda Dolack. Pursuing an interest that dates back to her childhood, Dolack considers how advertisements, jingles, packaging, and logos turn processed foods into objects of communal desire. The artist transforms them further, changing ubiquitous consumable goods into unique sculptures encrusted with brightly colored, sparkling glass beads, conferring splendor, beauty, and delight upon discarded food packaging.
