DescriptionAn oval bombe huillier, supported on four animal paw and acanthus feet. The body decorated with cutwork forms and applied masks against a textured ground. The rim gadrooned, surrounding 2 large and 2 small gadrooned circles with a rectangular chased panel at center. The 2 domed lids with a gadrooned rim, scrollwork band, and cluster finial with six petals.

Maker's Mark: a [crowned] fleur-de-lys, 2 grains, GM, a quatrefoil [?]: Underside. Warden's Mark: 1711-12, a crowned S (Dennis 215): Underside. Charge Mark: 1704-1712, an A encircled by a crown (Dennis 3): Underside. Discharge Mark: for work made in more than one piece, 1704-1712, a crown with a scepter and hand of justice (Dennis 3): Inside bottom. Verification Mark: used as a discharge mark, 1704-1712, a fly (Dennis 215): flange of both stoppers. Other: Unidentified mark [head of an animal ?]: neck of vessel, both lids.
