Kathy Butterly’s curvaceous vessels are lifelike and luscious to the eye, a quality enhanced here by this work’s evocative title, Cherry. Its matte, butter-yellow body is crowned with highly-textural pom-pom-esque pink and blue spheres. Atop one of these pink orbs sits a glistening, lacquered, bright-red ball, reminiscent of a juicy, sweet maraschino cherry.
DescriptionPale yellow form with pink and blue spheres at top. Resting on form with orange drips, textured feet ending in blue and pink coils, on textured green and solid gray architectural base.
