DescriptionKnee length black plain weave crepe cocktail dress designed by James Galanos. The bodice has three layered lapels and two overlapping collars. Hidden just below the lapels are two hook and eye closures. Fabric has been gathered at the waist, shoulder, and cuff, creating fullness. Each wide ruched cuff has three metal buttons with diamond-like rhinestones. There is a shoulder pad in each shoulder and thee labels located on the inside of the dress and attached with a herringbone stitch, left just above the waistline "Neiman-Marcus" below which is a label that reads ""Professional/ Dry Cleaning / Only" and right (in same location) "GALANOS" label. Hidden and alternating half way down the front of the skirt, are 5 snap and three hook and eye closures. The skirt has two layers of knife pleats that are stitched halfway down the skirt. The skirt is constructed in eight parts, has eight interior French seams and a 1.5" hem. Black silk satin weave belt, with patent leather piping and buckle. The belt has a slight curvature and no holes.
