DescriptionAt the top of the rectangular buckle is a winged scarab, while the sides have a stylized lotus decoration. In the center are two prongs for attachment to a textile belt. The buckle was made by R. Blackinton & Co., a North Atteboro firm that produced sterling silver hollowware, noveltites, and jewelry. They created several adornments and accessories in the Egyptian revival style.
