DescriptionAn evening dress, with foundation of white taffeta covered with white chiffon, with outer sheath of silk net, in front white, on sides gray, in back black, a wide square cut neck, bodice short waisted, somewhat bloused in front, short sleeves, skirt bell shaped, longer in back to form train; bodice and lower part of skirt embroidered in design of eyelets worked in linear bands, on lower edge arranged in large scallops but extending up in points on skirt, with silver colored small round and bugle beads, gray and clear rhinestones, and jet beads, hooked down center back with two rhinestone buckles over fastening at waist; original sash pale pink satin (in shreds, replaced by light yellowish-green taffeta ribbon at M.F.A.)
