DescriptionWoman's dress consisting of a cream-colored satin underdress and a white silk muslin overdress with brocaded sprigs. Cream-colored satin underdress (a), V-shaped bodice with hook and eye closures down center front, piping along neckline, diagonal pleats open at top and sewn down at bottom, padded bust, glazed cotton lining, and short puffed sleeves edged with tulle ruffle; full skirt with cartridge pleating at waistline and deep hem lined with glazed cotton.

Overdress (b) of light-weight, cream-colored, silk muslin; bodice has deep neckline trimed with pipping, front hook closure, cape collar trimmed with lace and satin, short puffed sleeves with satin piping and rouching around shoulders; sleeves trimmed with gathered tulle and two layers of lace; full skirt, front opening, two figured silk ribbon bows on right, and deep hem (no white satin bows on sleeves as originally described and shown in image).
