Description"Trapeze" smock dress. Dress of purple mohair and silk, flared to wide short hem; wide rounded collar, sashes from shoulders tie at front, narrow shoulders, short straight sleeves, 2 vertical welted ecru silk pockets; hook-andeye and zipper closure at back; lined with ecru stiffened silk. (b) Sleeveless chemise slip of fine weight ecru silk; ecru stiffened silk overskirt with buckram at hem over purple net petticoat; purple stiffened silk train depends from upper back to hem; hook-and-eye and zipper closures at back. Label: "Christian Dior, Paris; Printemps-Ete; Made in France." On dress, hand-written in blue ink on separate label: "91750 AMC File ML.sts(?) / Robe Bonne Conduite" and on slip, hand-written in blue ink on separate label: "91750 AMC File ML.sts(?) / Fondacion robe Bonne Conduite."
