DescriptionCoconut-shell body with skin belly; the back pierced carved with floral design surrounded by bas relief carving of geometric design. Body pierced by turned hardwood neck with ivory rings near top, but white plastic near body. Two dorsally-mounted wood tuning pegs with ivory rings. Two silk strings tied to "spike" at lower end of body. Bridge of tightly-rolled cloth, the outer layer (at least) red. Shadow of "rosin" formerly attached to upper treble side of body. Sliding nut of twisted silk.
