DescriptionIn C. Conoidal bore. Boxwood, varnished light yellow-brown. Ivory rings and headcap. Made in four parts: headjoint, upper and lower bodyjoints, and footjoint. Elliptical embouchure. Six finger holes. One square key (Young type F) of brass (d-sharp'), mounted on ring with SATK.

ProvenanceBefore 1980, Lewis Davenport, Milton, Massachusetts, who was the second owner of the flute, left it at a prior residence on Canton Avenue in Milton; by 1980, found by Mr. and Mrs. William Rust, Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the Canton Avenue home in Milton; 1980, gift of the Rusts to the MFA.
