DescriptionIn A (?). Conoidal bore. Boxwood, stained yellow-brown. Made in four parts: headjoint, upper and lower bodyjoints, and footjoint. Elliptical embouchure. Six fingerholes. One trapezoidal key (Young type J) of brass (d'-sharp'), mounted on ring with SATW.

ProvenanceBefore 1809, allegedly owned by Krafft (or Kraft), a cellist for Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809); by 1916, acquired by Francis W.
