DescriptionIn C. The lowest tone is c. Made of walnut, stained dark reddish brown. The tube is made in two parts, the body and the foot-joint; the cap serves as a receptacle for the S-shaped crook. The perforated fontanelle is on the foot-joint. The cap and fontanelle are mounted with brass rings. Six finger-holes in the front: the lowest (first) hole is stopped with an articulated key having a double finger-touch lever; the key mechanism is enclosed within the fontanelle; an S-shaped crook of brass; thumb-hole in the rear.
