DescriptionQuadrangular soundbox. Back, sides, and soundboard of maple, with pairs of incised lines along all edges. Soundboard grain oriented vertically. Three pairs of soundholes in soundboard, each composed of circular pattern of smaller holes. Pillar of maple with U-shaped cross section. Neck of pearwood with shallow reeding along top and sides. String pegs in form of L-shaped brays (several modern replacements) of maple. Tuning pins of iron. Exact compass unknown, but possibly GG to c3 (thirty-two strings).
