DescriptionA narrow sound-box with two heart-shaped sound-holes. Peg-box with scroll at the top; five lateral pegs. Metal strings with the lower end frontal fastening. Two stopped melody strings passing over fourteen metal frets set in the sound-board. Three open strings. The ends of the pins are protected at the lower end by an ornamented guard. Played in the horizontal position with the peg-box at the player's left.
