DescriptionBack comprised of seven ribs of maple, with narrow oval soundhole at center. Belly of medium-grain spruce with separate carved rose in foliate pattern. Rose, edges of belly and field of belly decorated with gilt foliate designs. Gold and red stripes outlining back and bottom of body. Neck, pegboxes, and fingerboard of ebonized wood. Tuning pegs of ebonized wood with buttons of ivory. Nuts and twelve frets of ivory. Bridge of ebonized wood. Seven main strings and four diapason strings. Medium brown varnish. Internal construction: Four lateral braces on belly (one above soundhole).
