DescriptionPinkish-red silk whole cloth bedcover with central medallion and geometric patterned quilting. Pinkish-red silk plain weave lining. Belonged to Increase Sumner; said to have been used by him upon taking oath of office for governor for third time, Dudley Street, Roxbury, 1799. Whole cloth quilt. There are 9-10 quilting stitches per inch.
