DescriptionThe necklace consists of a carved light green jade scalloped, round disc over which is centered an out-of round vermeil multi-element stylized bat motifs with filigree and the remains of turquoise enamel. The jade and vermeil components are sewn onto silk which goes over two lengths of pale green rolled silk, knotted at the end and closed with a double-hooked vermeil clasp and gold-colored jump ring. The label found with the piece is on a card on which is printed "Serenity" with a handwritten ink description translating the meaning to be "five blessings and longitivity."
