Issun Tokubei may be either Sawamura Sôjûrô IV or Ichikawa Komazô VII.
Danshichi Kurobei may be Ichikawa Danjûrô VIII.
Tsuribune Sabu may be Bandô Hikosaburô IV.
役者絵風ではあるが、該当する上演なし。似顔であるかどうかも微妙。
四代目沢村宗十郎もしくは七代目市川高麗蔵風の一寸徳兵衛。
八代目市川団十郎風の団七九郎兵衛。
四代目坂東彦三郎風のつりふね三ふ。

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States. Bigelow deposited many of these objects at the MFA in 1890 before donating them to the Museum's collection at later dates.
