Description"Chinese Figures". Bromley Hall. Panel, full loom width, with selvedges. Blue copperplate print on white ground. Man in Chinese costume, accompanied by boy with umbrella, walking up steps toward a pagoda with triple-tiered roof. Interspaces filled with sprays of fantastic, trumpet-shaped flowers, flowering branches and rococo scrolls. Cotton slightly browned; one tear, patched and darned; one small hole. The design surely after á PILLEMENT engraving.
