DescriptionTwo flat tines, flat handle broadening to wavy end. Decorative engraving of scrolls and leaves issueing from the mouth of a mask.
Marks Stamped: "IC" in a small rectangle on front of each handle
InscriptionsEngraved "MW" in block letters in a medallion on back of each handle.

1: Granddaughter of Francis Willoughby (deputy governor of Massachusetts, 1665-1671), she m. Thomas Barton, 1710; in 1758 he bequeathed "unto my dearly beloved wife.. All her Maiden Plate as a Tanckard Spoons ect and as moch more as she may want to be useful for her."
