DescriptionOne of a set of three (with 2001.75.1 and .3a-b). Egg-shaped container on doned base. The body chased with vertical panels of flowers. Removable cover chased with foliage and pierced with foliate scrolls. Finial cast as an insect on top of a flower.
Marks Struck on inside of footrim with hallmarks (leopard's head, lion passant, date letter for 1757-8) and with maker's mark of Phillips Garden; the flanges of the cover struck with lion passant and maker's mark; both parts also struck with modern French control marks.
