DescriptionProbably advance publicity for the upcoming production of Tsuru wa Chitose Suehiro Soga at the Ichimura Theater in the 3rd month of 1856 (Ansei 3). In the actual performance, the casting was changed: Akogi Gennojô was played by Bandô Hikosaburô V and Hashimoto's Daughter Ohaya by Onoe Kikugorô IV.

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States.
