年代記には「舞台開初より日数十日之間式三番叟を中村歌右衛門坂東しうか市村羽左衛門」とあり。
都立解説には「上演は九月だが、天保13年6月10日付で役者絵は禁止されるので、5月から6月頃に市村座の開場を予想して描いたものか。」とあり。
