Inscriptions此駅の東に植野村といふ所あり 名馬いけずきの出所なり 昔此所の長者野登の観音の示現によって此の馬を得て右大将頼朝卿へ捧げけり その後佐々木四郎高綱へたまはりてそれより宇治川の先陣をぞなしたりけり

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States.
