DescriptionCrewelwork bed curtain; plain weave linen ground (two lengths and one piece running vertically) with wool embroidery in five rows of large tree and flower motifs alternating with smaller ones; polychrome parrot in tree at center of fourth row from top; most of shaded areas in the mounds, leaves, flowers, fruit, trees, and bird in Roumanian couching or New England laid stitch; narrow stems and outlines in stem stitch; dots in flowers and leaves in seed stitch; rows of dots in mounds in darning stitch; acorn cups and some flower centers in grid of threads couched with stem stitch
