Catalogue Raisonné Shindo, Gototei Kunisada yakusha-e no sekai (1993), p. 62 (complete triptych)
DescriptionCenter and left sheets of incomplete triptych.

The edition illustrated in Shindo 1993 includes the name of Ichikawa Monnosuke inscribed next to that of Danjûrô on the left sheet, but it has been removed from this edition. Possibly this is a reprint issued after the death of Monnosuke in the seventh month of 1824 (Bunsei 7).

NOTES:
[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States. Bigelow deposited many of these objects at the MFA in 1890 before donating them to the Museum's collection at later dates.
