絵本番付では、渡辺の綱<5>市川海老蔵、正もり<1>坂東重太郎、保昌<1>沢村訥升、白縫<3>尾上栄三郎の四人をだんまりの場として描く。『続歌舞妓年代記』では「三立目だんまり平ら正もり下り重太郎、保昌、訥升、白ぬい、栄三郎、渡辺綱、海老蔵(中略)何れも評ばんよし」とあり、本図と役名が一致しないため本図は予定稿と思われる。(参考図)GNo.002-0284
