DescriptionLength of cotton printed with 4 handkerchiefs in sepia, each handkerchief shows a scattering of small political portraits, references to the French Revolution such as the Bastille and the Temple, and satiric scenes referencing contemporary literature such as William Cowper's poem "John Gilpin." Many of the illustrations refer to events that occured in 1792.
