DescriptionNatural linen sampler, upper half embroidered with polychrome alphabets in cross and eyelet stitches; lower half embroidered with wide bands of small plant forms and birds along with geometric work; thicker band flanked by cypress trees in pots and small peacocks; decorative borders throughout. Stitches: counted satin, cross, double running, eyelet, Gobelin, long-armed cross, Montenegrin cross, rice, satin, two-sided cross.
