DescriptionInfant's cap, possibly for figure of Christ Child. Band around face and under chin is red satin embroidered with metal thread, spangles and pearls in a conventional floral of design, edged with gold bobbin lace. The back of cap is thin red silk slit for opening. To be used with cushion (38.1280) Coll. Achille Jubinal No. 153, "Bonnet d'enfant-Jesus satin rouge et coussin de tete.")
