DescriptionKid gloves with shaped and pierced cuffs printed with figures or grotesques derived from prints by William Konig (active ca. 1721), which were based on a series of etchings by Jacques Callot (1592-1635) titled "Varie Figure Gobbi" (about 1622). The main portion of each glove is printed in a leafy grid pattern with flowers and butterflies, while the cuffs are printed with a scene of people drinking tea at a table.
