DescriptionHeader from a talatat carved in relief with the head of a princess holding a cone of scented fat. Alterations to the wig suggest that the relief originally depicted Queen Kiya but was changed to Princess Meretaten.
ProvenanceFrom el-Amarna, found at Hermopolis (Roeder, Amarna Reliefs, pl. 180, no. PC 68). By 1971: with Heinz Herzer, Munich; purchased by the MFA from Heinz Herzer, September 15 1971.
