The object was was purchased from C. Abner on April 14, 1965. It is well known. It was in the travelling exhibition "Akhenaten and Nefertiti" (Brooklyn/Detroit 1973-74) and is also published in the monograph on the objects from the Royal Tomb at el-Amarna (Martin 1974, pp. 55-55, no. 137, pl. 36).
