DescriptionLimestone fragment showing the common scene of the royal family worshipping the Aten. The family procession, consisting of Akhenaten, Nefertiti and Meretaten, would have been shown twice around the column drum.
ProvenanceHermopolis (originally from el-Amarna). Between 1929 and 1939, excavated by the Deutsche Hermopolis-Expedition (Roeder, Amarna Reliefs, no. 125). By 1967, private collection; 1967, sold by Spink and Son, Ltd., London, to the MFA. (Accession Date: May 10, 1967)
