Description慶応1年7月、大坂堀江芝居「女鉢木」あるいは10月「雪花女鉢木」か。三代藤川友吉は文久4年(=元治1年)初代荻野扇女を襲名する。表記は「萩野」となっているが「荻野」が正しい。ただ江戸時代は両用している。「見立ていろはたとへ」と題されたシリーズの1図。 -- 武藤 純子K

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States. Bigelow deposited many of these objects at the MFA in 1890 before donating them to the Museum's collection at later dates.
