DescriptionCarefully wrapped mummy of a young crocodile.

Crocodile mummy with remains of crossed wrappings on back in light and dark linen; traces of painted on black eyes. Condition: Wrappings on proper right side and tail worn and tattered.
ProvenanceBy 1836, Robert Hay (b. 1799 - d. 1863), Nunraw and Linplum, Scotland; by inheritance to his son, Robert James Alexander Hay (b. 1840 - d. 1928), Linplum, Scotland.
