NOTE: The verso of the print is inscribed with Walther Krieg's name. A complete set of Kollwitz's Seven Woodcuts on War was included in the posthumous sale of Krieg's collection, held at Gutekunst and Klipstein. The catalogue notes that the collector had frequent contact with Kollwitz before World War II and acquired works of art from her directly.
