DescriptionThe bottom half of a statue of the scribe Djeuty and his wife, Bak, this small statue is now broken in two pieces. The inscription on the back of the seat preserves three lines of text from an offering formula reading " May they [give] invocation offerings of bread and beer, beef and fowl, all things good and pure on which the god lives, to the ka of the scribe Djehuty and to the ka of his wife, the Mistress of the House Beka, vindicated.
ProvenanceFrom Semna, Room 77. 1924: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
