DescriptionLong neckpiece (or breastplate) composed of three broad vertical bands of wide links attached at the top to a flat sheet of shaped silver bearing the stylized, incised imates of two birds. The lower section is attached to a flat trapezoidal sheet which has been given decorated around its border and at center, and with circular pendants.
ProvenancePurchased in January 1988 in the market place of Tumuco, 600 miles south of Santiago, Chile, by the dealer; to MFA October, 27, 1994, purchase.
