DescriptionThe top of the table bows out at each end, and the leaves reverse the curve at the ends, have cut corners and a serpentine lower edge. The entire top is strung with a fine band of diagonal checker inlay paralleling the edges. There is no drawer and both ends are curved and inlaid with a round-ended panel of diagonal checker stringing and a lower border of fence pattern. On the stiles are inlaid urns of light wood with sand-burned details. The square-tapered legs are inlaid with tapering panels of stringing containing four bellflowers from a loop at the top. The legs have cuffs with are double strung with diagonal checker inlay. The sides and wings to support the top are oak, and the frame and cross-braces are poplar.
