DescriptionThe rectangular leaves of the top have bowed fronts with recessed corners. The edges are rounded and strung with brass. The rails are mahogany veneer, divided into rectangular areas with brass stringing, and ornamented at the corners with brass lion masks. Two open lyres compose the supports, and they are ornamented at the scroll ends of the lyres with turned buttons on both sides of each lyre. Brass rods are used for the strings and above each is an inlaid brass dot. The base is cut with an arc on each side, and the four tapering curved legs are set diagonally at the corners. There is a small scroll at the top of each leg with a turned button on each side, and the surfaces are strung with brass wire. The brass paw feet have casters.
The base and legs are solid mahogany; the rails of the frame are veneered on pine. All other secondary wood is pine. There are iron braces supporting the legs.
