DescriptionBanjo clock having a round, painted face bearing Roman numerals and surmounted by a gilded brass eagle finial. Cut brass side brackets flank the throat, which has reverse painting on glass of leafage, below which is a baroque flourish and the word PATENT. A reverse painted on glass image on the lower tablet of a landscape with a house bordering a river. The image is set within a gilded, foliated framework. The whole is surrounded by white paint. The gilded presentation bracket below the tablet bears an acorn terminus.
