DescriptionAn easy chair with a serpentine crest rail and wings curved in plan and serpentine as they curve down to the arms. The rolled arms fall sharply toward the front, and the seat is upholstered over the frame without a cushion. The tapering square legs in front are inlaid on the front and sides with a Gothic-arch panel in blond stringing, and above the point of the ogival arch is inlaid with a block dot. The panel ends with a double strung cuff of mahogany. The rear legs curve slightly backward and there are rectangular H-stretchers with rounded tops.
The four stretchers are tenoned into the legs; the seat rails are tenoned into the legs; the back posts are nailed to the upper portion of the back leg; the arm and wing supports are nailed to the frame.
