DescriptionTransitional Late Classical / Gothic Revival style. Turned and paneled front legs, squared at the top with carved arch on front face, taper to small foot. Curved back legs. Front seat rail caved with recessed field, ogival arches carved witha a tall ogival arch. Applied foliate-carved finials. Back a plank with arched opening at the bottom, four cusps within. Arch outlined in cross-banded veneer. Spandrels filled with carved geometric leafage. Bowed crest above semicurcular pnel of veneer. Upholstered seat covered in red and gold fabric.
