Description(Antwerp: Christophe Plantin, 1571 [i.e., 1583]) Quarto; 86 leaves; contemporary vellum, gilt-stamped with a large floral wreath, flat spine panelled in gilt, black cloth slipcase.

Illustrations of scenes from Old and New Testament. Probably the edition printed in 1583, despite the 1571 date that remains on the engraved title through several editions. See Mauquoy-Hendrickx, esp. pp. 497-501. The text engravings encompass illustrations from the Old and New Testaments, each accompanied by a Latin verse.
