H451 in Natzler studio records
DescriptionDeep bowl tapering to a very small foot, having concentric circles of dark brown and cream-colored volcanic glaze, and culminating in a deeper brown glaze at rim. "Gray earth crater glaze" was the name used by the artists for this particular glaze, which Otto Natzler developed in 1950. Glaze chipped at base in two locations; base surface is also chipped in two locations. Otherwise excellent.
