InscriptionsIn graphite, top verso: A black and white impressino from stone drawn by Winslow Homer, three impressions were made before the tint was printed and were pulled to show the artist what he had drawn on stone. The tine does not [underlined] add to the value of the impression not being the work of Winslow Homer. This is a proof before al letters./ E. Zimmermann; center verso: Mr. Zimmermann is the nephew of the late Louis S. Prang, the lithographer of Boston, Mass. who employed our noted artist, Winslow Homer and Mr. Zimmermann worked for his uncle, and knew Homer./ Otto[Olaf?] Mecker/ Antiquary/ 19 Centre St., Boston, Mass.
