DescriptionArmchair with caned back and upholstered seat. The cane is enclosed by a U-shpaed frame which forms both the back and arms. A Y-shaped support is attached at chair back. The front legs, which join the arm rests at a mitered joint, taper to brass capped feet. The rear legs tenon into the front legs beneath the arm rests and cant sharply backward to brass capped feet. Two cross rails support the upholstered orange wool seat.
Marks Beneath the seat is nailed a brass label in the shape of a "D" which reads "DUNBAR/BERNE / INDIANA / R [in a circle]"
