DescriptionOne of a set of six pressed goblets. Bell-shaped bowl in "horn of plenty" pattern (fig. 4 p. 73 August 1937 Antiques Magazine). Hexagonal stem with faceted knop, plain foot.
Provenance19th century, Thomas Smith (b. 1796 - d. 1861) and Betsey Howes Smith (b. 1797), Chatham, MA; probably by descent to Kate Augustina Gould (b. 1871 - d. 1930), Chatham; 1933, bequeathed by Kate A. Gould to the MFA for use in the Chatham Historical Society (accession date: July 20, 1933); December 19, 2013, deaccessioned by the MFA for transfer to the Chatham Historical Society.
