Catalogue Raisonné Rulau NH 150-157 variant over Breen 3887. Unique?
DescriptionThis is an 1806 Scot, Draped Bust, heraldic eagle reverse quarter dollar that has been counterstamped "USE G.G.G and G.G.G.G" for use as token. According to Russell Rulau, July 1855 New Hampshire District Court copyright records indicate that M.H. Goodwin got trademark licenses for G. G. G. and G. G. G. or Q. of F. for Goodwin's Grand Grease Juice and Goodwin's Grand Grease Juice or Quintessence of Fat. It was a product for the "Establishment, Growth and Beauty of the Human Hair." The draped Liberty bust quarter is not one of the host coins listed in Rulau.
